Supermarket shelves were filmed empty in a supermarket in Hollywood on Friday amid fears of the coronavirus outbreak and possible quarantine.
Footage shows empty shelves as several items went out of stock in the neighbourhood of Hollywood in Los Angeles. People can be seen queuing at the supermarkets where very little was left to buy.
According to local media reports, Los Angeles police has warned shoppers to stop calling the emergency service over line cutting and other minor altercations as thousands flock to supermarkets to stockpile over coronavirus fears.
Almost 2,000 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the United States.
