The Pertamina Jaya Hospital in Jakarta is equipped with two medical robots that assist health workers in handling coronavirus patients.
Footage filmed on Thursday shows ‘Amy’, one of the robots, with a protective shield on its head and carrying a tray.
Robot operator Bernard explained that Amy has a “LIDAR sensor that maps the room where the robot is installed, and with the mapping the robot can deliver medicine to each patient’s room at the hospital.”
According to John Hopkins University, Indonesia has 5,516 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the outbreak began, with 496 deaths.
