Protests Outside Court for Wikileaks' Assange Extradition Case

A handful of Julian Assange supporters protested outside Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London on Monday, where the Wikileaks founder was due to appear for an extradition hearing.

The WikiLeaks founder, who is charged with computer-hacking and violating a US espionage law, was remanded in prison until his next hearing scheduled for October 21.

Assange completed his sentence for skipping bail on September 22, but remained in jail as a judge believed he could flee before his US extradition hearing.

He is facing the extradition request on espionage charges related to the publication of classified military and diplomatic documents in 2010.
