Scuffles broke out between protesters and federal authorities over a stretch of US-Mexico border wall going up in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument in southwestern Arizona on Monday.
The O’odham Anti Border Collective led a small group of protesters against wall construction on ancestral tribal land and close to Quitobaquito Springs across Central and Southern Arizona.
Protesters were seen holding banner “Borders = Genocide” while some of the onlooking construction workers recorded the action on their phones.
In June, US President Donald Trump signed a section of San Luis, Arizona, border wall, marking the construction of 200 miles (321,9 km) of fence along the US-Mexico border.
