The coronavirus pandemic seems to affect not only people’s daily life, but also the way special occasions are being celebrated, with one designer showing how the disease changes the bridal fashion.
Footage filmed in Majdal Shams, the Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan Heights, shows Lubna Safadi, a wedding dress designer and a store owner, making stylish face masks for those brides, who take the pandemic seriously but also want to celebrate their wedding in style.
“The idea came because of the coronavirus, aiming at encouraging the brides who don’t want to wear the masks to wear them and to get used to the idea of the mask in our lives in general. The idea is that we should have the feeling that wearing the mask is something ordinary and it can be a part of our fashion,” explained Safadi.
The designer added that all world events affect fashion, saying that wearing masks now should be a usual and “healthy habit.”
