Rajinder Singh, a 73-year-old Sikh, raises money for the NHS with his daily workout routine that he posts on social media.
Footage filmed on Saturday, shows the ‘Skipping Sikh’ doing exercises in his garden, in Slough, Berkshire.
As he is forced to stay inside with his daughter and wife, due to the coronavirus lockdown, Singh is challenging young and old to stay active in this period of isolation.
“My father was an army soldier, he taught me a long time ago how to do exercise, dance, skipping and so on. Since then, I follow it and I love exercise,” he shared.
“When I saw that my dad’s video exercises had gone viral and people were really being inspired and motivated by it, I thought a good thing to do would be to set up the NHS campaign. Now we’re looking, trying to get to 13,000 if we can. We’ve gone over the actual target, we’d like to get to 13 because it’s a special number for the Sikh community,” explained the Singh’s daughter.
