Life Slowly Returns to Normal in Former Coronavirus Epicentre Wuhan

Life is returning to Wuhan in the Hubei province of China, in what used to be the coronavirus epicentre, after authorities lifted the lockdown.

Footage filmed on Sunday shows people enjoying the outdoors and playing in parks.

The coronavirus pandemic first began in Wuhan in December of last year at a seafood market.

Following the spread of the disease, the city was put on lockdown for over two months in an attempt to stop the virus from spreading further.

Local authorities began easing restrictions in Wuhan after almost 7,000 residential compounds were classified as “epidemic-free,” allowing their residents to leave their homes for two hours at a time.
