Dozens of protesters rallied outside the Camp Darby US military base in Tuscany on Saturday. Footage shows activists marching towards the complex waving anti-war banners and Antifa flags.
“Since the 1990s, Camp Darby’s military base has been supplying the war’s scenarios in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia in which the U.S. is involved. The other U.S. military bases located in Italy too,” said Franco Busoni, one of the activists.
Opened in 1952 as part of a bilateral agreement between the US and Italian governments, Camp Darby hosts a number of military units from the two countries.
