Israeli forces have injured a child during a home invasion in Hebron reports the International Middle East Media Center. The invasion was one of several in the area by occupation forces over the past few days, with the injured child said to have suffered a fractured arm and bruising during the assault.
Medical sources in Hebron state that IDF forces were responsible for several home invasions in the Jabal Johar area, south of Hebron city, ransacking houses and carrying out a sustained assault on the child late yesterday evening.
The child, named locally as 13-year-old Khaldoun Emad Da’na, was rushed to Hebron Governmental Hospital for treatment to his wounds.
The latest assault is merely the latest in a long history of attacks and killings perpetrated against children by the apartheid state.
Earlier this month 32 children were wounded when Israel unleashed a wave of terror on protestors in Gaza, killing two and injuring scores more. Alongside the 32 injured children, with three medics and two journalists also amongst the wounded.
Data from the Palestinian Center for Human Rights shows that Israel has so far killed 204 Palestinians since the beginning of the Great March of Return just over a year ago, 44 of them children. The numbers killed also include two women, three medics, two journalists and eight people with disabilities.
In wider statistics, approximately 10,000 Palestinians have been killed since 2000 by Israeli actions, 2,200 of them children, five times as many people as lost their lives during the September 11 attacks in the United States. During that same period, an astonishing 100,000 Palestinians have been wounded.
