Iranian government spokesperson Ali Rabiei gave a press conference in Tehran on Monday on the latest developments of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country.
At the presser, Rabiei insisted that “all necessary health issues are being considered” by the Iranian government, before going on to slam the United States government for its alleged lack of “honesty” on combating the virus.
“It would be more helpful to practically lift the sanctions, even lifting specific sanctions… when you do not let the money be transferred, it is crystal clear that it is deceptive. Let our money be transferred,” he said.
Rabiei’s press conference comes on the day Expediency Council Member Mohammad Mirmohammadi reportedly died from the virus.
