Around 500 people took to centre of London for a protest march organised by the Black Lives Matter movement on Sunday.
Protesters chanted slogans like “No justice, no peace” and “No racist police” while holding signs and marching through the streets of the UK capital.
The crowd demanded an immediate decolonisation of British culture, accusing schools of being extremely limited and bias in their approach to teaching history.
“We’re tired of them not teaching us history, we’re tired of them teaching us lies, we’re tired of the system just not acknowledging our grievances”, the organiser of the event explained.
The peaceful protesters addressed police forces as well, accusing them of being racist and of disproportionately targeting black people and other minorities in the UK.
