Thousands of activists from labour unions and Yellow Vests protesters took to the streets of Lyon on Tuesday in a joint demonstration against the pension reform proposed by French President Emmanuel Macron.
Protesters marched from Jean-Jaures square to the regional council office, blocking the traffic on major streets and chanting slogans against Macron and his government.
The unions are calling on their members to continue striking over the next few days with the largest gathering planned on Thursday.
