The ‘World’s Greatest Marble Race,’ as its founder Travis Corporon names it, has gone viral on social media, as many Americans are trying to cope with being locked down in their own homes due to the coronavirus pandemic. Corporon demonstrated one such race in his home in Rogers, Arkansas on Friday.
“The reason we built the track is because we wanted to give fans another reason to watch marble racing other than Jelle’s Marble Runs. We create weekly tracks out of wood and we race marbles to see which marble will be the winner,” said Corporon.
“I started the channel at the beginning of 2019 and we decided to go ahead and do two weekly tournaments every week for the entire year and it was a very successful time. In 2020 we’ve kind of taken a break and ever since the coronavirus, we have started producing videos like crazy and getting our content out as quickly and as best as we can,” he added.
Travis, along with his girlfriend Maggie Nolan, films and uploads the races on his accounts on YouTube and Instagram, named “World’s Greatest Marble Race.”
