Anti-Government Protests in Cars Continue in Lebanon

Anti-government protesters continued to demonstrate in cars in Beirut on Wednesday. The protest came as lawmakers held a meeting at a theatre due to the coronavirus restrictions.

Footage shows protesters driving around the city waving Lebanese flags.

Demonstrations broke out in October against worsening economic and social conditions.

A new cabinet took power in January almost three months after Prime Minister Saad Hariri quit. But protests continued until the lockdown was put in place in mid-March.
