Workers of hospital radiography departments demanded the recognition of their profession and better work conditions at a rally in front of the health ministry in Paris on Tuesday.
“This profession exists, it is necessary in patient management. They want to be recognised, they want to have a decent salary to be able to live. Especially in Paris, the salary to be able to pay for accommodation in Paris is the least you can ask,” said Jacques Duperret, the head of the General Confederation of Labour (CGT).
The protest is part of ongoing strikes against French President Emmanuel Macron and his government’s pension reform plan.
