Thousands March in Greece to Honour Memory of Rapper Killed by Neo-Nazis

Thousands marched on the anniversary of rapper Pavlos Fyssas’s murder at the hands of a member of the Golden Dawn, Greece’s extreme far-right party, in Piraeus in the Athens urban area, on Friday.

Fyssas, famous for his anti-fascist songs, was stabbed to death on September 18, 2013. The trial over the murder is expected to end with a verdict announcement on October 7.

“The leadership of Golden Dawn and the whole party should go to prison,” said one of the demonstrators, Giorgos, as people were seen marching through the streets, holding banners.
