US President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have agreed to temporarily close cross border traffic between their two countries on Wednesday, in a bid to stop the spread of coronavirus.
Footage shows cross border traffic that appears to be entirely composed of trucks carrying goods on their way to Detroit from Windsor, Ontario.
According to reports only commercial traffic, such as the transportation of goods, will be permitted. Tourists and other visitors will not be permitted to travel. The economies of both countries are heavily integrated, with around $2.7 billion worth of goods and trade passing through the border everyday, along with hundreds of thousands of people.
