Hundreds of people took to the streets of Paris on Saturday to demand a stop to the plans to annex Palestinian Land.
Israel is expected to start annexing settlements in the West Bank as early as July 1, in what several world leaders fear will mean the end of Palestine as a single state.
One protester said that the plan was not meant for peace but is in fact “a war plan.”
“It is a plan of colonisation, of apartheid,” he added.
Another protester, Sarah, accused US President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu of colluding together.
“The annexation of the West Bank, which will be announced in a few days, it is the total end of the illusion that Trump and Netanyahu work for two states. They never worked to build the two states system,” she said.
Protesters could be seen waving Palestinian flags in solidarity as they marched from the iconic Boulevard Barbes neighbourhood to Place de la Nation in the French capital. A number of Police officers in riot gear could also be seen at the protest.
The rally comes as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged to annex land in the West Bank occupied by Israeli settlements, in addition to other parts of the area, including the Jordan Valley on July 1st.
