Free mass coronavirus testing was carried out as part of a University of California study of the virus spread in the Latino neighbourhood of San Francisco, the Mission District, Sunday.
Footage shows medical facilities set up behind a fence, with medical personnel taking swabs and blood samples. The testing aims to study the virus spread in Latino communities, due to the high amount of the coronavirus deaths and infections among this part of the population in California.
“The infection is really spread over here, so we have to get tested and make sure everything is all right,” said local, Rafael.
According to the data compiled by Johns Hopkins University, the US has registered 963,379 coronavirus cases with 54,841 deaths related to the disease.
